Hello, Again Folks
I am often asked how Zero/Six got its name. A lot of times, people assume it was a failed attempt at following a CSI format and then declare that we should be “Zero/Seven” …for Thermal and Moisture since we are skin people. Although that would make sense (and would have provided for a much easier explanation), the Construction Specifications Institute had nothing to do with the naming of Zero/Six.
In the spring of 2003, I had a really good gig with a large AE firm headquartered in Houston. I was experiencing some success, maybe too much success, because my compensation package was getting close to the principal range…and I was not a principal.
Z6 Honored With Prestigious Award For Restoration of St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica
Z6 received the “Historic Preservation” award from the Galveston Planning Commission at its 3rd annual Planning and Design award ceremony. Z6 recently completed a “soup to nuts” restoration of St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica in Galveston.
The church was erected in 1847 and was deemed a minor basilica in 1979 by Pope John Paul II. It was one of our greatest honors to be involved in preserving the Mother Church of Texas. Read on for details of this once-in-a-lifetime restoration project.

As part of our ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, we are required to undergo annual surveillance assessments. We are pleased to announce that we recently completed these assessments.
